DEAREST READERS

source

Hey,
Let me just start of this post by thanking every single follower I have, silent or not for being one. I mean, seriously you are all excellent and I don’t know what this blog would have been without you.

That being said, let us move on to the matters at hand. The unthinkable has happened, I am shutting down my site. No more teenage outsidery, no more slightly lame and very carefully inserted into the post jokes, no more hopefully good advice (at least not from me anyways) and well, no more me.

In this trying period of utter recession I have decided to do the only thing I could think of, and that lovely lovely readers is… Drumroll please…

Sell my blog for profit.

Okay, okay. That’s all a lie if you didn’t already figure, I am kinda sorta in a much less dramatic way shutting down my blog. But much like the caterpillar turn butterfly I’m only doing so for a good cause.

Hah! I’ve led you off track again.

I’m not really shutting down in the actual sense of the word. I’m merging my blog with my sisters greyskiesandbluewaters
And together we shall attain world domination! Well, not yet anyways. What we will be doing however is merging both our blogs, adopting a new name and a new theme I suppose so I’m not really going to be gone I’m just going to be different.

However this is probably the end of ‘teenage outsider’ since even though I would still be blogging, I won’t be blogging under that name anymore. I’m a little sentimental to let go of it honestly. I’d like to say I’ve accomplished a lot for myself under that name not to mention how long it took me to actually think of a name so fitting. I’m not sure what our new blog will look like or even be called but rest assured the teenage outsidery lives on! Might even have it inserted into the new name who knows? We’re still brainstorming though.

Any who.

I just wanted to make sure everyone was in the loop and now that you are I can go ahead and know that I hopefully have your full support and even though I’m switching identities you’ll still all be part of this pretty big change, literally guys lol we also found away to migrate subscribers and all my posts are still gonna be available on there but if that doesn’t work please go follow her!

I hope all you gorgeous people have a great day, night, timezone and I will give you all the new details in due time.

Fifteen and counting…

Hey.

before I continue let us acknowledge the small fact that the featured photo has nearly nothing do with this post, okay, let us continue..

wow, its been quite a long time since I’ve posted on here but you have nothing to fear really, I’m well and fine and I am back.

yass!

My life has been a whirlwind of unplanned events and its only getting more whirlwindy by the second (in the most unwhirlwindy way possible of course) have I confused you yet? sorry darlings give me a minute and I will explain exactly what I mean.

Today I woke up smack in the middle of my bed, jumped out of it and decided that I had to start exercising again because ultimately, (as proposed by legitimately everyone who knows me at this moment) I am getting fat.

I’m getting fat?

Yes, yes I am and I am so done denying it. Not that there’s anything wrong with being fat, I mean, people come in all shapes and sizes and the most important thing is that you’re comfortable in your own skin, in your own shape and size, and if you’re not, well you better get out there and start doing something about it.

I’m going to throw you some unbasic, basic knowledge that I came across today whilst getting ready to exercise: ALWAYS EAT FIRST! make sure you have a little somn somn in your body before you proceed to try and lose that something. why? you may ask, well, because your body can be likened to a machine in this aspect, it needs fuel to work. And when you do not fuel it, it only does more harm than good.

But this is not a post about exercise.

This, you gorgeous readers is a comeback post, because I am back and I’d like to think I’m different, in the most undifferent way possible.

within the quite long period of time, during which I have been offline, I have managed to:

  • Graduate highschool
  • Move to the U.S (duration unknown)
  • And turn fifteen.

Wow.

All those things within a span of weeks.

One of my last posts was me complaining about how I had to go to boarding school and look at me now, I am done with that, done with high school and halfway to thirty, in a different country.

Yay?

My life has been different. I mean, I moved from across the world, from the place I’ve lived my entire life to somewhere different (though not entirely foreign) I always knew that at some point in my life I’d have to get up and move, I just didn’t expect it to actually happen one day. I knew it, I just thought in some magical way maybe time will stop, rewind and continue to repeat itself as if nothing ever happened.

I was wayyy off.

I guess in some way, even if none of us ever want to admit it, and I mean EVER want to admit it, we anticipate growing up: moving out of the house, going to college..

(coughs) getting a life…

All the while never expecting it to actually happen. we expect to be completely ready when the time comes for us to pull on those Adult boots and start making adult decisions, but in reality no one’s ever really ready, not even the over-thinkers and overachievers of the world.

And that’s okay. That is so okay.

Because it certifies that we are human, not insensitive pieces of machinery. Which brings me to my point. I guess this entire time I’ve been worrying about growing up, about not being ready to grown up, about the person I am yet to become whilst not realising the person I already am which was my mistake. I might not turn out to be all the (incredibly many many) things I hope to be but hey, I’m fifteen.

And counting…

Stay gorgeous.

The king without a crown

Hey guys!

So I was going through my journal the other day and I stumbled on this thing that I wrote. Well, I like to write stuff sometimes, I’d like to call them poems but they are really not soooooo

Anyway

This is something I wrote a while ago and I thought I’d share it with you guys.

Its more of creative writing I guess but definitely leave your thoughts in the comments, I’d really like to know what you think!!

They close their eyes and breathe in,

They spite each other without reason,

They reach for arms and strike themselves down,

All uneven yarn without barn.

They dream with eyes wide open,

Waiting to cut down those who dare to follow,

Like shark they stalk ’round their prey,

Until their bodies are battered and grey.

Confused minds will wonder in awe,

Greater minds will frown and look away,

But no mind dares to speak,

For fear of being cut down,

By the king that wears no crown.

The Sunshine Blogger Award!!

sunshine-blogger-award

Hey everyone!!

First off I’d like to say a big thank you to Minty Freshie for nominating me for the sunshine blogger Awards!! this is actually the first thing I’ve gotten nominated for and I am really excited about it.

sadly, I wasn’t able to get around to doing it until now but that was because I haven’t been home since.

let’s do this.

Behold, the rules:

 • Thank the person/people who nominated you in a blog post and link back to their blog.

 • Answer the 11 questions sent by the person who nominated you.

 • Nominate 11 new blogs to receive the award, and write them 11 new questions.

 • List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo on your post or on your blog.

Questions I got:

1) Sweet food or savory food?  To be honest this really depends on my mood. Sometimes I really want sweet food other times I want something savory. Well, I’ll just go with what I’m feeling like at the moment and I’m in the mood for something savory sooo.

2) Dogs or cats?  DOGS. I don’t even have to think about it.

3) If you could have any superpower what would it be?  well, I would really love to be fast, like flash fast but I guess I would also really love mind reading. I would be super cool to know what everyone is thinking at certain points even though it might be considered as snooping sometimes.

4) If you could spend the day with any person, dead or alive, who would it be and why (family, actor , celebrity)?  At the moment the only person I can think of is one of my best friends F.K (lets just call em that) this person is extra fun and I think the entire day would just be super fun no matter what we do. That or my brother.

5) If your entire life was a movie, what would be the title?  Awkward moments of a confused unsocial girl.

6) What are you most grateful for? I’m grateful for an abundance of things but I guess what I’m most grateful for is my life. sometimes I think about whom I could have been if I wasn’t whom I am now and really I don’t know if I could ever imagine being someone any different from this.

7) If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be? If I wasn’t prone to stomach aches I would eat white chocolate or Oreo cookies. If I was, I had these really tasty chicken and fries yesterday so well I’d have that.

8) Is there a specific book or movie that has had a big impact on you? Well there’s only one book I can think of right now that had quite an effect on me and that book is ‘If I break’ by ‘Portia Moore’ it was fiction, I don’t know if it was the mood I was in when I read it but it really stuck to me for days after and all I could think about was reading the sequel which I still haven’t read yet. so.

9) What is your dream career? So far I want to become an animator.

10) What is your biggest regret? Sometimes I feel as if my biggest regret is taking science classes instead of art but I guess that’s just me ranting when subjects become extremely hard to understand. I don’t know my biggest regret yet, but I really hope I never have one.

11)  What is your biggest fear? loosing touch with the people closest to me.

Thanks for the great questions mintyfreshie! I’m nominating the following bloggers to receive the award.

GreyskiesandBluewaters

meetmitchell

Stella

Thecurlygiirl

Since it’s supposed to be eleven bloggers nominated and I only nominated four, because everyone else seemed to have supposedly gotten the award already #I’mlivingunderarock sigh. I would like to make this a free thing. The first seven bloggers to comment ‘I want to’ automatically qualify as my remaining seven nominees though I strongly doubt anyone that stumbles on this hasn’t done this yet. I’d still love for anyone who hasn’t to participate though. Okay.

Questions to my nominees

  1. Who is the most influential person in your life?
  2. Would you rather live until you’re 100 without falling in love or being happy or fall in love and live a happy life but die at 50?
  3. What was the happiest moment of your life and why?
  4. What is the most exciting thing you’ve ever done
  5. What is the most selfless thing you’ve ever done?
  6. If you could go anywhere in the world at this moment but only take one person, where would you go, who would you take and why?
  7. Whats your favorite book and why?
  8. Whats your favorite animal?
  9. If you could spend the day doing only one thing, what would it be?
  10. If you could go back in time and relive a moment in your life what would it be and why?
  11. soda or juice?

Hope you liked reading my answers as much as I enjoyed writing them!

Stay gorgeous guys

Appreciating women around the world!

This is a great post by my sister go check out her blog!!!!

Lets be REAL

giphy (2).gif

Hi guys! so MARCH 8  which was yesterday was International Women’s day! First off let me use this opportunity to tell you ladies out there that you are BEAUTIFUL and you are STRONG! So keep being the best you can be everyday because the world does needs you!

So many women all over the world have been through lots of nasty situations. There are so many struggles we have had to go through, struggles that most or maybe even all men would not understand. Women have been treated as second class citizens, talked down to, women have been perceived negatively when they exhibit certain qualities as men, women have been sexually harassed and blamed for it, body shamed, denied education, subjugated but through it all women have prevailed. We have stood our ground against inequality, sexual harassment, and campaigned for female education among hundreds of other things.

cursing and I

Oh cursing,

something that no matter how much you try not to do, you will do…. eventually.

swearing-foreign-language-step-fluency-04ea6899899456d5e1c2f16ae069e7e6

According to google, a curse or cuss is an offensive word or phrase used to express anger or annoyance.

According to teenagers a curse is embedded in our vocabulary. We use curse words to express a variety of emotions: anger, sadness, joy, surprise, pleasure and a bunch of other stuff.

gq-cuss-words

I don’t think there is anyone in the entire world who can safely say that they have never uttered an even remotely offensive curse word. lets be honest, we all do it, even if we don’t say it out loud.

Cursing has gradually started to take up space in my in head vocabulary. In case you don’t know what that is its the usual words I say in my head but not outwards. I don’t have anything against cursing. It has just been drummed to deep into me not to curse that I feel uncomfortable saying a curse word. I could write it down or say it in my head or even curse outwardly to myself but the entire thing exhausts me when I have to say It out loud except for those few times when your emotions are heightened for one reason or the other. I mean,

swearing-foreign-language-step-fluency-fc300346d9fdb34abcd225637ca293ea

Effing impossible!

That doesn’t mean that everyone has a small problem with cursing. In fact some people curse in every sentence and others use curse words frequently. I don’t have a problem with people who curse, I’m quite comfortable when they utter curse words but when I say them, well, that’s another business.

The funny thing is that a bunch of us associate cursing with maturity (I included) sometimes when I pick up a novel and it has curse words I automatically feel like it’s a book worth reading. I’d still read it if it didn’t have any curse words but the presence of curse words adds that extra thrill to it and I don’t even know why.

swearing_6ad632_4406821

Apparently

The thing though is that cursing is something mostly associated with vulgarism and bad manners therefore it’s not exactly something a some people like to hear. They feel as if cursing automatically makes you a badly trained child. Truth is, cursing is a way of expressing ones self. Cursing does not and should not make you a badly mannered or vulgar person but honestly that really depends on the way you use the words. since some curse words are universally associated with sexual acts, every time you utter this word you would seem like a vulgar person.

enhanced-buzz-12594-1390714675-4

Cursing although an expression is very wrong sometimes. Some people aren’t qualified to curse and by that I mean children. Children SHOULD NOT be allowed to learn curse word before they are qualified to speak them out loud. Most times it’s because of the people around them that kids start to curse. If they never hear it, they wont say it.

1615633713-quote-nicki-minaj-i-dont-want-children-cursing-im-very-237293_1

As cursing is usually considered rude, and is often associated with sexual stuff a child cursing is and should always be a no no. Until a person attains a certain level of maturity that person should not be allowed to curse. I mean,

tweens

 weird

Here are some weirdly effective substitutes for curse words

Fu*k  to Fudge, Frack

Sh*t to Shoot, Shnook, crap

A**hole to Grass hole

Motherf****r to Mother trucker or mother ducker

Cu*t to Blunt

Di**head to fundoodoo head

Bi*ch to goat or cow (they are all animals)

Son of a bi*tch to sun of a dumb goat or son of a gun

well, those are all the ones I could come up with at the moment.

Which brings me to the end of this post. The most picturated (if that’s a word) post I’ve written so far.

Hope this post thought you something one way or the other. I know I learned a new variety of curse words which really isn’t something to learn but still, knowledge right? oh well, until the next post people!

Stay awesome!!

My lyric page

Hello world, universe, galaxy, people of the interwebs……………..

Okay, moving on!

I’m feeling particularly generous at the moment and so I thought I’d share something with all you pretty people.

Last Christmas one of my presents from my sister was this inspirational story-like book which gives advice about the journey of life and its challenges but is written as a rhyme.

img-20170223-wa0004.jpg

There are different versions of this book but mine was the journal version.

This book has really inspired me. I’ve read it over and over and at first its meaning doesn’t really sink in but then it does and it really helps to understand it.

Since then I’ve done a lot of stuff in this book. I use it as both a journal and a random book. I like to be creative when I use it and I think having a book like this has really helped me in that area.

So yeah, right about now you’re probably wondering why I’m telling you about some random book you’ve probably never heard about. weeeeell, a couple weeks ago I started doing this thing I called a lyric page where I basically write a bunch of lyrics, lines and artists down on this one page with a bunch of colored pens and stuff. Most of the writings on this page are song lyrics or artists but a few of them are just random stuff that got into my head one way or another. As you can see mine is really not finished yet, I plan on covering every surface with ink and words.

img-20170223-wa0001

So, I thought I’d tell all you wonderful people about my lyric page (any songs you know on it?)  and hopefully inspire you to make one of your own. Its actually pretty easy and all you’d need are.

  1. A blank page. Preferably one without any margin lines and preferably in a book.

sketch-book

2. A bunch of colored pens. I didn’t use this exact kind but I used something quite similar.

photojan2083313pm

3. Lyrics from your favorite songs and just a tiny bit of creativity.

lyrics-music-quotes-song-favim-com-2340881

Truth is anyone can do this, as far as you like music and have a remotely readable handwriting. Scratch that, you don’t even need to like music you just need to know it and who cares if your handwriting looks like the readings on a heart monitor (although it will be better if other people could actually read it too) A lyrics page is all about writing down lyrics that you connect with or your favorite part of a song. It could even be a quote or part of this poem you love so much. The possibilities are vast.

You know, whats weird is this post actually started out completely different. what I was really going to show you guys was a bunch of things I’ve written in my book but this turned into a post about my lyric page.

huh.

That brings me to the end of this post. I really do hope a whole bunch of you would try to make a lyric page of your own. What the hell, I challenge anyone who reads this to make one of their own and I’d love to see it when they are done and Its a gradual process so take your time, If anyone actually does this. Anywho, I’ll be posting about the initial thing I wanted to post about before I got distracted and posted this later. until then, stay gracious.

I’m Back!!

Hey guys

first off yay! I got home this afternoon because we just got on mid-term break which lasts for a week and I’m feeling pretty giddy. #HOMESWEETHOME

1tumblr_lgp6q5nhe21qcjtu8o1_500

Sooo as for my adventurous three weeks in boarding school, there really isn’t much to tell, sadly but I do have a few things to say about the boarding house.

first off, we call it a hostel, and we live with two matrons which are practically female guardians.

5:00 AM
We have to wake up at exactly five AM and rush downstairs for the morning devotion and I mean like legit rush. As soon as the bell is rung we jump out of our beds and make our way downstairs immediately to keep from being late

6:00 AM
When the bell is rung again at this time it signifies ‘bathing time over’ as per don’t be in the shower at this time and if you are DO NOT get caught.

Couple minutes later….
Not sure the exact time but couple minutes after 6:00 AM is time for inspection so at that time the matron inspects all rooms to make sure all beds are dressed, all uniforms worn and all bathrooms void.

Couple more minutes later….
Couple more minutes later (yes I don’t know the time) is breakfast. SO we hurry down because you can’t be late. After that we just wait for the bus.  When we  comeback from school we have lunch then later in the evening we have dinner and then prep where we read or study from 8:00PM to 9:45PM. Then its lights out by 10:15

well, I just thought I’d tell you pretty people how it is in my boarding house. I’m sure it’s different in other places! comment your thoughts below.

Boarding school! dun dun dun

Hey

Hope everyone’s having a great day. I know I’m not, not really, not much and here’s why.

first off boarding school. The place where every growing kids dreams get crushed. OR NOT. when most of us hear of boarding school all we remember are crazy strict reform schools or something. right? truth is, boarding school isn’t so bad. I think. I’m not there yet so I wouldn’t know. That’s right, I’m going to boarding school! don’t worry it’s not because of bad behavior or anything. It’s basically because I have external exams coming up soon and my mom thinks going to my schools boarding house is the best way to get me to really study.

well, that or she just wants me out of the house.

Anywho I’ll be leaving tomorrow and I thought I’d write a post informing all of you gracious readers about why you won’t be hearing much from me.If you haven’t figured yet by that last statement my schools boarding house does not allow any electrical appliances or gadgets i.e

  • pressing irons
  • flat irons
  • hair dryers
  • laptops
  • cell phones
  • tablets

and basically anything that needs to be recharged.

I know right, HOW WOULD I SURVIVE?

but fear not! people still sneak some important stuff in. Stuff like phones, tablets, laptops and on occasion pressing irons because well we wear uniforms and they rumple quite easily after a wash. And well, I don’t want to brag but I’ve got my ways…

tumblr_lpp6r04xqp1qg1bak (1).gif

or do I? honestly I have nothing I want to sneak in even. My phone has issues and is currently useless, my tablet is way too noticeable and I feel like I’ll get caught with it quite easily, a hairdryer makes way to much noise to be used in secret and I do not want to be responsible for burning and/or potentially burning down the house with a pressing iron, same goes for a flat iron.

I’m having mixed feeling about going, I’m a little excited about living by myself with a bunch of other girls but honestly I’m a little scared about leaving my house to live in somewhere completely different so I though I’d do a list of pros and cons to keep myself balanced.

Pros

  • I’d be living with a bunch of my class mates
  • I’d learn to be independent
  • I’d study more
  • I’d have a lot of people to talk to
  • It might be fun

Cons

  • I’d miss my family
  • I wont have internet
  • I wont be able to do just anything

Well, those are all the pros and cons I can think of right now. Still, the entire thing just makes me really nervous because there are lots of both good and bad things I’ve heard about the hostel. I don’t really have much to worry about though, I’m a senior and a prefect (something I might write about soon) and therefore no one has much of an authority over me really except form teachers and such.

anyway bye guys, I hope I can write soon!! (maybe I’ll sneak in my tablet after all)

Till the next post, date undecided.
